Planet Earth II
With the first Planet Earth in 2006, the BBC redefined how audiences experienced the natural world. For Planet Earth II, we wanted to evolve the rules of natural history promotion in the same way the series itself had evolved.
We approached Sigur Rós about creating a new rendition of Hoppípolla for the campaign, reimagining the track for a new generation while honouring the emotional connection audiences had with the original series. The music had become inseparable from Planet Earth, capturing imaginations and evolving into the sonic identity of the franchise.
We genuinely couldn’t believe when they said yes.
The journey that followed, collaborating with Sigur Rós and bringing the new rendition to life, was electric. A true career highlight for us.
