 Showcase ONline

BBC Showcase is the BBC’s international content marketplace, bringing the best of British television to buyers around the world. It is where drama, documentaries, comedy, and entertainment are introduced through first-look previews, behind-the-scenes insight, and curated storytelling.

As Global Creative Director, I led the creative vision for BBC Showcase, finding a way to deliver a meaningful, engaging experience for global buyers at a time when production was heavily restricted due to the pandemic. Working closely with production and commercial stakeholders, I executively produced a multidisciplinary creative team to shape a new digital-first format, supported by a purpose-built filming gallery provided by I&You productions at Magazine, Greenwich.

The result was a series of genre-led programmes hosted by Claudia Winkleman, Clara Amfo, and Anita Rani, alongside a suite of key art and trailers created in-house. It marked a first for BBC Showcase and allowed us to reach buyers globally, maintain momentum in the market, and continue championing the breadth and quality of BBC Studios content.

Shaping the creative vision across a three-month production. I worked closely with multiple internal teams and external production partner I&You = the project was highly collaborative, bringing together editorial, design, and production disciplines.

The programme included nine genre-led sessions across Scripted, Unscripted, and Children’s, alongside four industry sessions featuring BBC executive leadership. Each piece was crafted with a distinct creative identity while remaining cohesive within the wider Showcase brand.

Supporting this were eleven multi-title sizzle films, thirteen title-specific trailers, and a full suite of event communications and social assets, all designed to build anticipation, guide audiences to the platform, and celebrate the breadth of BBC Studios storytelling.
